Games starring President George Bush
We are shocked, simply shocked…
[by Patrick Hurley] 12/20/05
Oh, the
liberals are in a tizzy.
They just
found out this past week that there has been surveillance going
on in this country headed up by, (gasp!) the PRESIDENT OF THE
UNITED STATES! I can certainly understand the concerns of Senator
Harry Reid and his, “Can’t Shoot Straight Gang"
as they focus on hypothetical scenarios concerning innocent
American citizens and ignore the real question which is, “What
is this country coming to when a terrorist is not SAFE!” If
there is anything true in the animal kingdom it is that rats
prefer to operate in the dark.
So, apparently,
do stupid people.

If you gave
me a choice, I would prefer we not have an event like 9/11.
Call me nostalgic,
but I wish the World Trade Center
and all the people who died in them that day, along with the
innocent passengers on all four planes who lost their lives were
still in existence to this day. Maybe if we had a little more
spying, we would have been able to prevent those tragedies in
New York city, Washington D.C. and over the Pennsylvania countryside.
Of course, both the CIA and the FBI had been effectively gutted
by the Clinton Administration for eight years, lending a new
meaning to the word, “intelligence” and paving the
way for the terrorist rodents to operate secretly in the darkness
as they organized their bank accounts, arranged for passports,
took flight lessons and went to strip clubs one more time.
The outcry about the President spying is based on privacy issues,
of course. Barbra Streisand resents being seen without her makeup.
I understand that. Alec Baldwin might be observed actually enjoying the American way of life. This could undercut his threat to move
elsewhere if a Republican wins in 2008. Barbara Boxer does not
want anyone to know the number of times she puts her foot in
her mouth. Harry Reid and Teddy Kennedy would have nothing to
rail against if we effectively controlled the terrorism in this
country. We need to think of their careers here.
When I was in high school, the Vice-Principal used to post
students around the campus to ensure all of us rebels stayed
in class until the bell rang. This imposition irritated me and
my fellow pranksters who had problems with fifty-minute periods.
There was so much more to be seen and experienced outside of
class. Until these tattletales were set up, we had the freedom
to move around as we pleased without ever being caught. How dare
he violate our rights as students and not trust us! Whatever
happened to the First Amendment? More importantly, whatever happened
to our ability to disrupt the school policies?
The truth is, we didn’t have rights when it came to imposing
our illegal activities on our high school. Those “spies” were
an affront to our planned shenanigans. They were very effective
in keeping us in line, too. Ironically, the kids who stayed in
class and wanted to follow the rules were not offended by them.
The snitchers were only criticized by those of us who had done
or wanted to do something WRONG!
I do not think that terrorists who want to hurt America are
happy there is wiretapping surveillance going on here. Conversely,
the people who love this country and want to see it preserved
are thrilled we are doing everything we can, under the law, to
prevent another attack by those less patriotic. Freedom is worth
fighting for and so is the protection of the citizens who live
here. If the rats are gathering down in the sewer, we need to
locate them and snuff them out. No more Mr. nice guy. We trusted
a little too much before and we paid a tragic price for it.
I realize Harry Reid and his gang have a need to stay in the
headlines. But, they are shooting at the wrong cowboy here, which
is typical of their aim ever since they have been elected. There
are some very bad guys out there. But, none of them happen to
reside at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
At least that is what my spies tell me. -one-
